Microcurrent Neurofeedback
Increase your quality of life and decrease limitations with Microcurrent Neurofeedback.
Northstar's IASIS Microcurrent neurofeedback propels stroke rehabilitation, harnessing the brain's plasticity for optimal healing and function.
Journey Mental Health is proud to partner with North Star Neurotherapy to offer IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback.
Through the use of carefully calibrated and controlled transcranial stimulation, Microcurrent Neurofeedback calibrates the brain in a language it can understand, and gently nudges the central nervous system toward balance, producing fast-acting and long-lasting results.
With offices in Chattanooga and Cleveland, TN, North Star provides services to the greater Chattanooga, Tennessee area.
North Star’s team will work with you to:
Help reduce or eliminate symptoms of anxiety, depression, cognitive impairments, insomnia, and counterproductive behaviors.
Non-invasively train your brain without the use of medication.
Target the brain patterns that create mental health symptoms and cognitive impairments.
Achieve lasting results that in some cases can lead to reduced or eliminated medication use.
What Does A Session Of Microcurrent Neurofeedback Look Like?
Microcurrent Neurofeedback sessions take place in a safe, private, relaxing environment.
Each session is conducted by trained professionals who are up-to-date on the latest education and treatment recommendations. Your treatment provider will gently place small, EEG leads around the head in areas specific to your brain's needs. Each session lasts 20-30 minutes that are specifically tailored to each individual's needs. Many of our clients describe their MCN session as spa-like or meditative. 80% of people notice a positive change in their mental state after just the first session!
Here’s how it works:
Noninvasive transcranial electrical stimulation sends imperceptible energy pulses to the nerves in the brain.
Energy pulses re-awaken nerves that are stuck in “protect” mode. This encourages the brain to “rewire” itself out of a negative feedback loop into a calmer, healthier state.
Cumulative effects of treatment result in the brain learning to function in a more efficient manner (Neuroplasticity!)
