common questions
How does it work?
Noninvasive Transcranial Stimulation sends imperceptible energy pulses to the nerves of the brain.
Energy pulses re-awaken nerves that are stuck in “protect” mode
Stimulating the nerves encourages the brain to “rewire” itself out of a negative feedback loop into a calmer, healthier state
Cumulative effects of treatment result in the brain learning to function in a more efficient manner (Neuroplasticity!)
What is the cost and how does the treatment schedule work?
$150/session
$1500 for 12 sessions ($125/session)
$2300 for 20 sessions ($115/session)
Family Pack: 50 sessions for $5000 ($100/session)
Each session is 25-30 minutes. 2-3 sessions per week are recommended. 12-20 sessions on average are needed for sustained results (depending on individual needs).
Free initial phone conversations are available.
How quickly will IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback bring results?
Microcurrent Neurofeedback works on a cumulative effect, with positive changes building on each other after each session. Research shows 80% of people notice positive results after the first 1-3 sessions with most experiencing lasting results after 12-20 sessions (on average, based on individual needs).
What conditions does Microcurrent Neurofeedback help with?
Research studies using MCN technology have demonstrated benefits for individuals suffering from:
TBI
PTSD
Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder
RAD
Tourette’s/Tic Disorder
Trichotillomania
Addiction
Post-Concussive Syndrome
Long-Haul Covid
Chronic Lyme Disease
Fibromyalgia
OCD
Anxiety
Depression
ADHD
Migraines
Auto-immune disorders
Post-stroke recovery
Mood dysregulation
Reduced processing speed
Apraxia
Learning challenges
Existential/Death anxiety
Panic attacks
Autism
Impulse control problems
Who can benefit?
Almost everyone! Individuals with a history of epileptic seizures need approval from their neurologist to begin MCN.
MCN addresses the source of problems and does not just “reduce symptoms.”
MCN is also used for peak performance enhancement in sports, academics, and creative pursuits. Many people have overcome mental blocks, or “the yips,” with the help of MCN!
Effects of MCN are independent of age, comprehension, intellectual ability, or physical or mental capacity.
Are there any side effects?
There are no serious adverse side effects. Possible short-term reactions may include mild headache, very brief feeling of nausea, mildly increased emotional vulnerability (not reactivity!), and fatigue. These are not common, and treatment can be adjusted to help decrease or eliminate any reactions. North Star has protocols in place to address any negative reactions that may occur within 24 hours.
Will the results of microcurrent neurofeedback last past my treatment?
While it may appear that numerous sessions of microcurrent feedback are essential, there is a silver lining. Neurofeedback triggers gradual and enduring effects on the brain meaning you may not have to return for further treatment once you and your provider at North Star recognize that the desired level of healing has been obtained; this is a beneficial difference from typical treatment that has you taking medication for chronic conditions.
